This privacy notice applies to Dr Syed Hassan, trading through 23 Health Care Ltd, ICO registration ZC007435. We are the data controller for personal data processed in connection with medico-legal instructions.

What data we collect

In preparing medico-legal reports we may process:

• Full name, date of birth and contact details of the claimant
• Medical history, clinical records and treatment information
• Details of the incident giving rise to the claim
• Solicitor and case reference details
• Examination findings and clinical opinion

How we use it

Personal data is used solely for preparing an independent medico-legal report in response to a letter of instruction from the instructing solicitor. The lawful basis is substantial public interest in the administration of justice (Article 9(2)(g) UK GDPR).

Who we share it with

Reports are shared only with the instructing solicitor. Data may be shared with the court as required by CPR Part 35. We do not share data for marketing or commercial purposes.

How long we keep it

Medico-legal files are retained for a minimum of eight years from the date of the report, in line with standard clinical and medico-legal practice, then securely destroyed.
